The building and location are bothe excel nt
The service was patchy and the kitchen delivered a flawed experience. They tried to make up with an added extra but that was perceived as revenue preservation rather than contrition.

The attentive staff added to the experience, particularly during the really good dining with a varied and delicious menu. The service could improve, as I noticed delays in addressing requests and some food arrived lukewarm. Still, a lovely place for a relaxing retreat.

The room was reasonably spacious and luxurious with the terrace, hot tub, very comfortable beds.
That proper receipt was missing.

The fact that we were given a lovely room despite the fact we had our dog (normally you are given the most miserable room in a hotel because of this). The staff were more than helpful and very attentive to detail.

The location was stunning and marvellous and the free parking was on-site. Further, it was just off the cafe. The breakfast was large and delicious at the Astor grill...

We had a lovely two nights in a fine room with a hot tub, and the breakfast buffet was very nice. The gardens were beautiful for a peaceful stroll, but the service needs improvement.

Upgraded our room to a suite as it was my partners birthday. Great Spa facilities and excellent staff.
Being overcharged by £50 but after calling the hotel this was removed.

The magnificent house and gardens. Our suite - huge, splendid drawing room, very large opulent bedroom, large well equipped bathroom, all beautifully furnished in period and with panoramic views over the lawns , woods and hills. Must have been an upgrade, I think.
1.We ate dinner in the grandeur of theTerrace Dining Room. Food very indifferent. Steak tough, vegetables not so much al dente as uncooked. 2. Bathroom door opened directly off the bedroom and close to the bed.
